The Logic in Brief

The event accent color is also know as the left border color. Here are some examples of what we are speaking about using a green color:

Briefly, the logic is as follows:

If Use calendar color as accent Color is toggled on, DCE uses that color which is the color your chose for your Google calendar.

If Use calendar color as accent Color is toggled off, then DCE uses the Left border color.

WHERE ARE THESE TWO DESIGN ITEMS

Use calendar color as accent color (turquoise box in left-hand image below) - This design item is in the Events section, the Event details subsection (brown arrow in image below).

Left border (grey box in right-hand image below)- This design item is in the Events Listing/Details Colors section.

There are four combination possibilities but only three outcomes:

Outcome 1

Use calendar color as accent Color toggled off + Left border default

Outcome 2

Use calendar color as accent Color toggled off + Left border custom

Outcome 3

Use calendar color as accent Color toggled on + Left border default

or

Use calendar color as accent Color toggled on + Left border custom

Outcome 1

Use calendar color as accent Color toggled off + Left border default

The accent color will be the Left border default (right-hand image above) which is purple (brown arrow in image below).

Outcome 2

Use calendar color as accent Color toggled off + Left border custom

The accent color will be the Left border custom color (right-hand image above) which is light green (brown arrow in image below).

Outcome 3

Use calendar color as accent Color toggled on + Left border default

or

Use calendar color as accent Color toggled on + Left border custom

In both cases, the color used will be the color of your Google calendar. It does not matter what the Left border color is.

In our example, the color of the Google calendar is green: light green for past events, dark green for upcoming events (image below).

So, the accent color will be green (brown arrow + box in image below).
